So I spent most of the day yesterday cleaning the living room-literally from top (cleaned the ceiling fans) to bottom (steam cleaned the carpets). Grayson found a drink this morning and proceeded to spill it all over the freshly cleaned carpets. Such is life I suppose...
Abigail went to school in white pants today, they are more of a piece if artwork than clothing now. I may video this adventure in laundry and make my own commercial for Clorox bleach =) They went on a hunt for the gingerbread man at school today and got to decorate and eat their own cookies. Abigail told me about how she "painted a beard" on herself with frosting... WOW! here I thought it was all on her pants, lol.
Braden found a lizard while he was waiting in the pick up line after school. Before we even left the school parking lot he managed to drop it in the car and we couldn't find it. We left the doors open on the car in hopes that it would crawl out before it perished in the unrelenting Texas heat!
That's about it for today... Big Brother is on tonight with a special double eviction. Aaron has to work, but I don't forsee me being nice enough to wait on him =)

the first post...
I can hardly believe a new chapter in our lives starts tomorrow in more ways than one! Abigail is headed off to kindergarten! She is so excited about all the new adventures this year will bring. Her teacher is Mrs. Williams who happens to be the same teacher Braden had when he was in kindergarten! We also see her often at church, so it's nice that she is already somewhat familiar with her teacher.
Also new on the agenda is Aaron's first big meeting with Aflac tomorrow! He takes his Texas State Insurance test on Tuesday and is really looking forward to the prospective opportunities to follow!
Braden will be off to 3rd grade and is busy trying to convince me that he is plenty old enough to ride his bike to school all by himself. I'm just not quite ready for that yet. If he had a friend riding with him I might consider it, but definitely not by himself!
I have a few small projects planned for the first few weeks the kids are at school. Of course Gray and I will still have some quality time together, but I'm sure to get a few things knocked out. All the baseboards need painting, a few doors need to be touched up, and I have a hand-me-down furniture piece that needs a new look! I also have a MAJOR house cleaning in mind that includes ceiling fans and mini-blinds!!! I've applied to be a substitute teacher with the school district, so we'll see if anything comes of that. I'll also be teaching my CPR classes through the YMCA and keeping my friend's daughter after school.
Should be a fun and exciting couple of weeks ahead of us as we all settle into our new routines.
